Pairpoint Lamp with a Peaceful Meadow Scene

Floral Pairpoint lamp with 16" Bombay shade signed H. Fisher. Pairpoint lamps were painted in a "reverse" style where the inside of the shade was painted rather than the outside. They are lovely in the evening when they are lit and the true beauty comes alive. Lovely pinks, greens and yellows all blend to create a peaceful meadow scene. Trees and flowers surround the shade which is in excellent condition. There is a minor blemish on a small area of the shade's rim. The top of the shade is decorated with ferns and fleur de les designs and is 16" inches in diameter. The base is silver plated and has a delicate design to accompany the shade. Well balanced and complimentary together, many of the bases were paired with different shapes for different preferences. Pairpoint lamps were made in New Bedford, Ma in the early 1900's through the 1920's until a fire ravaged the factory.
